After spending sufficient time with the parent and child understanding the symptoms and diagnosing the specific learning difficulties through informal assessments conducted by her, Anupama comes up with an IEP (Individualized Education Plan)which is tailor-made to address the child.
The problem areas of each student is then concentrated on with the aim of correcting and effectively overcoming them, and of assisting the student in becoming a more confident learner. Literacy Intervention involves reading, spelling, vocabulary, creative writing and grammar.
This goes hand-in-hand with the Academic Intervention, working on memory, attention, spatial orientation, auditory and visual perception.
Discussions with parents about the management of children with learning disabilities are regularly held. Monthly meetings are also scheduled to keep detailed track of the child’s progress in the learning curve.
